Al Bayaan Academy (“we”, “our”, “the Academy”) runs albayaanacademy.com and the Al Bayaan student portal. This policy explains what we collect when Muslim families book a free trial, learn with us online, or use our portal — and how we keep that information safe.

1. Who We Are

Al Bayaan Academy connects Muslim families worldwide with certified Quran and Arabic teachers for live 1-on-1 lessons. Our programmes include Quran Recitation, Tajweed, Arabic Language, and Quran Memorisation (Hifz).

2. Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to teach, schedule, and support your family:

  • Free trial & contact forms — parent/guardian name, email (optional), WhatsApp number, country, timezone, learner type (child, teen, or adult), preferred days and times, teacher gender preference, course interest, and how you heard about us.
  • Enrolment & portal — student name, login details, class routine, homework, attendance, tajweed progress, approved class logs, monthly progress summaries, and payment proofs you upload.
  • Website usage — pages visited, referral source, browser/device type, and (where enabled) Meta (Facebook) Pixel events to measure advertising.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

  • confirm trial bookings — we aim to respond within 24 hours;
  • match you with a suitable teacher, including female educators when requested;
  • deliver live lessons on Zoom or Google Meet and share progress with parents;
  • manage monthly tuition and payment review in the academy portal;
  • improve our courses, website, and family experience.

4. Children & Parental Consent

Most of our learners are children. A parent or legal guardian must book the trial and provide contact details. We collect only information needed for teaching, scheduling, and communication. Parents can follow progress through the parent portal and reports we send.

5. Live Lessons & Third-Party Tools

Sessions are held on Zoom or Google Meet — your choice at scheduling. Those platforms process connection data under their own privacy policies.

Teachers record lesson notes and curriculum progress in our secure academy portal. We do not publish session video unless explicitly agreed for quality or training purposes.

6. Cookies & Marketing

Our site may store cookies for language, theme, and teacher-preference settings. Where configured, we use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure ad performance. You can limit cookies in your browser or opt out via Facebook Ad Settings.

7. Sharing & Storage

We share student information only with assigned teachers and authorised academy staff who need it to deliver lessons and billing. Payment proofs are reviewed by our admin team. We do not sell your data or share it with unrelated marketers.

Data is stored on secure servers that power our academy platform and portal.

8. Retention & Your Rights

We keep account and learning records while you are an active student and for a reasonable period afterward for billing and academic history.

You may request access, correction, or deletion at any time. If you are in the UK, EU, or EEA, you also have rights under GDPR.
